Capitol City Flyers is a not-for-profit corporation. All shares in the corporation are owned by member pilots and the corporation enjoys a strong asset position due to its long and stable history.
Member pilots pay dues of $220 per month toward fixed expenses, plus hourly usage fees for aircraft time used. Each member receives a undefined credit toward usage fees each month. Because we value safety and proficiency, each member who is a certified flight instructor may receive an additional undefined credit toward usage fees each month in which they provide flight instruction to another member.
Prospective members must be pilots. Insurance, currency and financial requirements must be met. Security training and an access badge are required to operate from Dane County Regional Airport.
Shares are purchased from an existing member who desires to sell them, or, in the rare case that membership is below capacity, directly from the corporation. Shares trade at prices agreed upon between seller and buyer. The corporation assesses a $50 share transfer fee, but it is not a party to price negotiations.
